  31. Who says C++ is now king of the hill?  I don't have the numbers to back
  32. this up, but it's my understanding that despite the steady increase in C++
  33. use, C is still used more widely.  A more correct statement would probably
  34. be: C++ is now king of the large-and-complex-OS-API hill.

  36. As for statistics relating to C++'s disputed dominance, I'm sure there
  37. were many who thought:

  40. The LP would hold out against CD's...
  41. Programmers would always prefer command-line interfaces...
